I studied mathematics at a collaborative undergraduate program between the University of Washington, Seattle, United States and the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam, and received my bachelor’s degree in 2015. The year after, I obtained a master’s degree in applied mathematics specialized in scientific computing from the University of Lille, Villeneuve d’Ascq, France, where I was awarded a master scholarship by the LabEx CEMPI for my postgraduate studies and a graduation internship grant supported by the Toulouse Mathematics Institute. After travelling around for a gap year, I relocated to Vietnam for an R&D career at Viettel Group in Hanoi from 2017 to 2020. Thereafter, I began a PhD research in industrial mathematics at the imec-Vision Lab, University of Antwerp, Belgium, under an SBO project granted by Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO). Since 2024, I have been with Phenikaa University, Hanoi, Vietnam as a lecturer at the School of Computing and a guest lecturer at the School of Foreign Languages & Social Sciences. My research interests cover various topics in applied mathematics, formal mathematics and formal logic.
Beyond academia, I am a co-founder of the Silverhead AI wherein our developed generative AI solutions have won several medals in the notebook track of the AI Mathematical Olympiad – Progress Prize 3 (AIMO3). Also, I established the Phenikaa Chess Club in 2025, after which we have won several medals at the official interuniversity chess tournament of the Hanoi metropolitan area.
